Make sure you have tissues handy because tears will show up! You may see the lenght of the video at 10 minutes and think it is too long, but I promise it is worth it! The last 5 minutes is a photo montage set to music so at the very least watch the first 5 minutes, or if you have to, fast forward to minute 5 only because that is that part that really got me...
This video is such a great reminder of what parenting really means. While there are very few of us that will ever be able to give this kind of gift to our child... but what if as parents we only put in half the effort that Dick Hoyt does - or just a quarter? Imagine what a different place the world would be if all parents were this loving and devoted to their children!
Well, this post is not one meant to make us feel guilty about the job we are doing -- it is meant to inspire us, to show us that at the end of the day, after all the stress and roadblocks life may put in our way, we all still have it in us to be amazing parents and amazing people.
