So What Does Indigo Really Mean Then?

IndigochildI found the responses so fascinating last week on Indigo Children that I decided to email my friend Christie Marie - you all may remember her from a few months back and her post on Living from Love or Above.  Christie is a Psychic and Intuitive Healer and because she has worked with thousands of families and children and I wanted to hear her perspective on the topic.

The good news is that we scheduled a time to speak on Tuesday of next week and she is going to answer all my questions on the subject of Crystal and Indigo children. :)

So, I have listed below the main questions I am going to ask her - please read through them and fill in the gaps I have missed by posting more comments below.  Then look for a follow up post next week on the topic!

  1. I believe that all children are born GiftED with their own unique and special talents... so what is different about Indigo's and Crystals.  Are they more special than other children? Why the need to label them?
  2. Do you think there is a wave of new consciousness, not only with Indigo children but also with individuals like you and I?
  3. Do you think every child is in fact born Indigo, and that it's only a matter of nurturing the traits?  Or is there truley a difference between Indigos and non-Indigos?
  4. Do Indigo's and Crystals operate at a different vibrational frequency?
  5. Some people talk about the difficulty of raising an Indigo child or  fret over how to "deal" with them - why is that so?
  6. Do you think it is a parent's Ego that makes them want to label a child Indigo?
  7. How would you help Indigos (or just any child) that is finding it hard to operate in the traditional school system?
  8. Why are Indigo here?

So I hope that you all will feel free to ask questions, believers and skeptics alike, because that is how we will learn - that is how I learn to be a better parent - not just from the research I do, but also by reading your comments, hearing your stories and trying to understand both sides of a story - knowing that there are so many things I do not know and leaving my mind open to all possibilities.

Thanks again to you all for being part of this community.  You are all so special and important to me and I wish I had words to tell you how much I appreciate you all being part of my dream!

Love,

Melissa

I really enjoy your site and the topics are fantastic,Thank you. The one comment I would like to make is about the word (special).I feel this word divides or seperates your topic on Indigo children and we know that God only unites.I have four very unique children and I appreciate all the assistance that your site provides.Love and Light Roy

    Hi,
Thanks for this great blog, We all appreciate all the work you put in to give us all these information.
I have a daughter who is 2 years old now and I think she might be a Crystal child. one of the things about her everyone who ever sees her for the first time, they take notice of her big eyes...
I look at her eyes a lot and I think there is something there I have not seen in other children....
Can you Ask your friend : what are the Physical traits which Identify Crystal/Indigo Children ???

Last night I was reading an Article about that and seems The Eyes are very identifying traits...

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Good questions!

Our children are gifted, unique, and full of qualities that we can bring out in them to bring to call them to their best individual selves - and ourselves. These qualities - gifts of character or gifts of the heart are elemental to us all. Within the five domains of human potential developing our virtues helps us directly in our social, emotional and spiritual endeavours, and enhances our physical well-being and intelect.

I have been a teacher for over 35 years and have seen signficant changes in my teaching and in the classroom over the years by incorporating the 52 virtues and the 5 strategies for using them in my home and teaching. Virtues are what we all have in common - no labeling - and the five strategies help them come alive so we can thrive and flourish. Check out http://www.virtuesproject.com

How can a parent learn to see the aura of his or her child? It is a jump of faith to just take the word of somebody that one's child has an indigo aura or a crystal aura.
Is there a medical practitioner, e.g., psychologist, psychiatrist, neurologist, etc., on record, who can see the aura of a patient and uses that information in diagnosing and treating a patient?

In case anyone is interested, I found a free "e-book" (it's only a few pages) that explains how to see the aura in five minutes. I haven't tried it yet, but I thought this community might be interested:

    Hi
As I am reading this I was just wondering if you were familiar with 'Anastasia' the book.
Its a story of a Siberian recluse and its from 'the Ringing ceders of Russia'.
You might want to have a look!

I had this incredible desire to call my unborn child Indigo. My partner would have agreed if he was a girl, but as he's a he it didn't happen. I have no idea why, and then I read for the first time about Indigo children. Moments after he was born, and holding him for the first time, I looked into his deep blue eyes and had this overwhelming feeling he'd been around alot longer than me. Freeky, coincidence?? who knows, but I'm finding the discussion very interesting, thank you.

    Thanks!
