Jada is a lucky woman!
So, this week 2 things happened - first, my scheduled interview had to reschedule - so I was left without a "GiftED Exclusive Interview" 
But then, one of the people I love most shared this video with me, I knew I had to share it with all of you! It is not an exclusive and at 9 minutes is a little long - but it is so worth watching.
Here are some of my favorite quotes from this video and things we can instill in our children:
"I Know Who I am - I Know What I Believe." -- What if we could instill that kind of confidence in all of our youth?
"You don't set out to build a wall, you say 'I am going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid' and then you do it every single day, and then soon you have a wall." --Let's teach them not to give up, to do things to the best of their ability and success will be the inevitable result.
"The first step - before anyone else in the world believes it - you have to believe it." -- I think our kids put too much value in what others believe, about them about their ideas, let's teach them that the most important belief is the one that comes from within.
"Why would you be realistic - what is the point of being realistic?" -- When we teach our children about all of the amazing people in history that have changed the world, let's make sure we teach them how unrealistic those people really were.
